TVING’s upcoming ASMR drama “Sound Candy” (literal translation) has announced its premiere date!
“Sound Candy,” which will premiere on June 3, is a fantasy romance drama about young men and women at a guesthouse in Jeju who find love and friendship due to mysterious “sound candy” that has magical properties.
Weki Meki’s Choi Yoojung will star as Go Chae Rin, who returns to her hometown of Jeju after being diagnosed with hyperacusis (a hearing disorder that makes people overly sensitive to sound). There, she discovers a mysterious glass bottle that helps her heal her wounds.
Former NU’EST member Kim Jonghyeon (JR) will star as Kang Hae Sung, a narcissistic superstar who has never had sincere feelings for anyone. However, romance unexpectedly develops between the famous singer and Go Chae Rin.
n.SSign’s Lee Han Jun will play Yoo Seung Yeon, an idol trainee who has lost sight of his dreams, while Baek Seo Hoo will play Boo Hyun Jun, a successful young entrepreneur who grew up with Go Chae Rin.
After premiering on June 3 at 11 p.m. KST, “Sound Candy” will release two episodes every Saturday at the same time each week.
