In an interview, Karina revealed her regrets after how her hair was badly damaged when she bleached her hair into blonde for their recent comeback album, “MY WORLD.”

In a broadcast, aespa Karina declared that “MY WORLD” era might be the last time fans will be seeing her as blonde.

On May 18, aespa Karina and NingNing, who just had their comeback with the title track, “Spicy” appeared as the special guests for LE SSERAFIM Eunchae’s YouTube show, “Eunchae Star Diary.”

While talking about the quartet’s new release, the young host can’t help but show high interest in Karina’s blonde hair, which became the talk of the town when her new look was unveiled.

Ahead of their official comeback, Karina revealed her blonde hair during a concert which immediately made a buzz among K-pop enthusiasts and internet users. Aside from this being her first time bleaching her hair to achieve such color since her debut, Karina also impressed everyone with her goddess-like appearance as blonde.

She took the internet by storm even more when the team promoted “Spicy” through various music programs including Mnet’s “M Countdown,” SBS’s “Inkigayo” KBS2’s “Music Bank” and more. At the time, Karina went viral for her looks in each performance flaunting her new hairstyle.

With this, Eunchae asked Karina if she would rather have black hair or blonde hair, which were both her iconic hair colors.

Without a stint of hesitation, Karina immediately replied with black hair and exclaimed that she wouldn’t go blonde again, revealing the pain her hair has to suffer because of bleaching.

“I’m totally team Black Hair. I don’t think I’ll ever be blonde again. It’s gonna be the last time. Thank you for understanding.”

Explaining the reason, Karina emphasized how bleaching her hair damaged it badly and it was too serious she compared her hair to a burnt bird.

“For one, it really damages my hair and when I come out of the shower, I look like a burnt bird.”

Although fans are a bit saddened that blonde Karina will now remain as a memory only, MYs (fandom) expressed that they will support the idol and attested that she’s gorgeous regardless of the color she chooses.

In addition to this, after the broadcast, fans are hoping that Karina’s stylist will take care of her hair better and give her post-show treatment just like how it looked really good during the show.

Following their concerts in South Korea and Japan, aespa, comprised of Karina, Giselle, Winter and NingNing embark on its full-fledged American and European tour with its first solo concert “SYNK: HYPER LINE.”

aespa plans to hold its first solo concert in eight U.S. cities, including Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Boston, and Brooklyn, starting with LA on August 13 after performing at Jakarta, Indonesia, and Tokyo Dome on August 5-6.

In September, music fans around the world are expected to visit six major cities in South America and Europe, including Mexico City in Mexico, Sao Paulo in Brazil, Santiago in Chile, Berlin in Germany, London in the UK, and Paris in France.
