10 K-pop Girl Groups Dominating May 2023 Brand Reputation Rankings

May is full of group comebacks, variety show appearances, debuts, and events, which led to the popularity increase of K-pop artists. The Korean Business Research Institute officially announced the brand reputation rankings for May 2023, involving K-pop girl groups.

According to sources, the ranking revealed was covered from April 14 to May 14. The list’s overall results derived from media coverage, consumer participation, exposure, and interaction.

Here are the 10 most popular girl groups for May 2023!

1. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK defended their position at the No. 1 spot for May, after gaining a brand reputation index of 6,734,798. Apart from these rankings, the “Kill This Love” singers also achieved 91.98 percent positive reactions for their positivity-negativity analysis.

In a separate note, Rosé and Lisa also trended for their appearances in events such as 76th Cannes Film Festival and BVLGARI Mediterranea, respectively.

2. IVE

IVE came in at second place after earning an 81.31 percent increase, leading to a brand reputation index of 5,952,401. IVE has been making headlines with their activities, which include comeback promotions, video content, fan interaction, and many more.

3. NewJeans

For the month of May, NewJeans placed at No. 3 with a brand reputation index of 4,823,782. The group is also active in their social media updates and group content. Moreover, NewJeans Hanni also gained attention for her appearance at the 2024 Gucci Cruise Fashion Show.

4. LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM also joined the list, earning the fourth place with a 108.67 percent score increase, translating to a brand reputation index of 4,327,928. The group also garnered buzz for their consecutive music show wins for “UNFORGIVEN.”

5. aespa

aespa concluded the top five after receiving a brand reputation index of 3,202,140. This is due their 62.74 percent increase, as well as their promotions for “Spicy.” Additionally, the group is also working hard for their ongoing world tour “SYNK : HYPER LINE.”

6. TWICE

TWICE made it on sixth place after garnering 3,168,480 for their May brand reputation index. The girls have been passionate on their endeavors, especially when they’re performing for ONCEs around the world.

The group has caught attention for their moments during their concerts. Moreover, they also rocked their “READY TO BE” concert in Japan, where they became the first K-pop female artist to perform on a Japanese stadium.

7. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE claimed the seventh place with a brand reputation index of 2,947,565. The group made headlines with their comeback teasers for “I FEEL” and their pre-release track “Allergy.”

8. Apink

9. NMIXX

10. Oh My Girl
